About Our Transportation Initiatives
The transportation committee regularly discusses statewide transportation issues and brainstorms innovative ideas for improving access to transportation services for seniors and persons with disabilities. The State of Vermont elders and persons with disabilities transportation program coordinates funding from several Federal, State, and local sources, including non-governmental sources, to make public transportation accessible, safe, responsive, convenient, and affordable for as many Vermonters as possible. The committee provides feedback and insight to this and other public transportation programs and efforts in the state.
