This year has required Vermont schools and early childhood service providers to go above and beyond in order to meet the educational needs of all students. The SILC Education Committee continues to support the full implementation and maintenance of the services that provide students a Free and Appropriate Education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
As part of our Education Objectives under the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) for Vermont for 2021-2023, the committee offers its support to Vermont educators, service providers, families– including parents with disabilities–and students with disabilities.
